Where can you purchase the pass?
Online –https://www.parispass.com/
Check the prices online first. They often have discounts for certain holidays. With the online purchase, you can choose two options. You can have them mail it to your home address or you can pick it up in person. Unless you are planning on hitting the ground running when you land I think its a safer bet to just pick it up once you arrive in the city.

As of June 2018, the 2 Day Adult Pass is €131. As you can see I didn’t include the money that was saved on using the train tickets and we clearly didn’t even do half of the things available and still saved €25.
So Was The Pass Worth It?
Yes, Absolutely. Not only did we save over €50 (for both of us) just by having the pass but we got to do things that were not on our list of things to do in Paris. Since there were so many things we could see and do we took full advantage and stepped out of our usual routine. Now every time we go somewhere I am checking to see if there is something similar. Also just skipping the line adds so much benefit as the queues can get quite long. I firmly believe this pass is a good investment if you use it the right way but you have to do the calculations to see if this is right for your family. I understand it is expensive so it is definitely not for everyone.
Tips For Using The Pass
- Do not wing it! As much as I loathe planning out my vacations this has to be an exception. Planning ahead is essential to getting your monies worth. If you do not plan effectively you will probably not save as much as you could have and end up seeing fewer sites.
- Many places are closed on Monday or Tuesday. If your pass starts or stops on one of these days make sure you plan what you want to see accordingly.
- Almost all of the museums and monuments are FREE on the first Sunday of every month.
- The passes have to be used on consecutive days.
- Start your passes EARLY in the morning. No matter what time you start your pass it will count as a full day so don’t waste it by starting the first day late in the afternoon.
- Plan your meals while you’re at it. Many places are not open for breakfast and even if they are it isn’t your typical Big American or continental breakfast. Mostly just croissants and coffee. Some places open for lunch from maybe 11-3/4pm and close again to set up for dinner at which opens at 6:30pm/7. Quite annoying if you have missed your eating window while doing something else. Make sure you don’t miss these windows or you will be hangry! lol

I do really think passes like this are a good value in general but you always need to do the math. I love that the Paris pass offers so many attractions. Thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard
Yes for sure! It isn’t for everyone. But if you determine it’s a good value you will be happy with the money you saved.
City passes are great and we’ve only recently discovered their benefits and originally didn’t believe it them until we did the math! Now we’re all about them! Thanks for linking up with #TheWeeklyPostcard!
Some cities have amazing city passes. You just have to do the math for each place to determine if they are really worth it. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for this post. My husband and I are going to Paris for our anniversary in a few months and he’s been researching the Paris pass. I think he was pretty much convinced, but seeing your breakdown of what all it covers convinced me, too! #theWeeklyPostcard
So glad this was able to help! If you want to see a bunch of this in a short period of time it is for sure worth every penny! Hope you guys enjoy 😊
