Since we have been so MIA on social media you might have been wondering where we have been. Maybe you haven’t even noticed haha. Whether you noticed or not, the reason we haven’t been posting much because we moved again! If you know your world flags you might have been able to figure out where we are from the picture above.
This is our 3rd country in 3 years. Together we have lived in Khaitan, Kuwait, Bangkok, Thailand, Washington, DC, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Out of all the places, we have lived so far I think we like it here the best. We have patiently waited to announce this move for over 6 months.
So without further ado…
We have made our new home in
Cairo, Egypt 🇪🇬
Questions that need answers
Where is Egypt?
Egypt, for the most part, is located on the North East Corner of Africa and a very small part is located in Asia. The capital is Cairo, which is where we live. This is also the third continent we have lived on so we get to check off things on our Bucketlist.
What language do they speak there?
The official language here is Arabic. While we did pick up a lot of Arabic in Kuwait it is actually a huge waste because no one here understands it. haha, They speak a dialect of Egyptian Arabic.
When did this move take place?
We landed in Cairo on August 14th. Yes, its been that long.
How do you guys just pick up and move from place to place?
That’s easy we have our trusty Moving Abroad Checklist.
Why do you keep moving?
The real question is “Why Not?” If we had a legitimate reason to stay somewhere I’m sure we would but until then… deuces.
How do you choose which countries to move to?
Uhhhh we kind of don’t. Lol At this point we are just following the money. Wherever offers us a good job and pays the most sounds like the perfect place for us.
What do you guys do for work?
How long do you plan to stay?
The contract is for 2 years but from what we’ve seen so far we really like it here so who knows what the future holds.
Is Egypt safe?
This is a hard eye roll for me. I’m not really sure why people always ask this? But yes I would consider it extremely safe. They have made a lot of efforts to keep this place the treasure that it is. Think about how safe your home country is, then think again. Just like there are unsafe areas in your country, there are unsafe areas in any country. Using common sense will take you a long way.
Do you guys ride on camels to work?
Obviously, Yes! What other way is there to get around? Lol just kidding. Our school picks us up by bus.
So the real question is WHEN are you coming to visit?
We would love to have you.
